Portable Raman Spectrometer

Portable Raman Spectrometer

  • Product Number:LD-LMSP
  • Product Difference:Spectral range: 200–3000 cm⁻¹ Detects illegal additives, chemical additives, and adulterants in everyday foods

Product Introduction

The portable Raman spectrometer enables rapid and accurate detection of illegal additives, chemical additives, and adulterants in everyday foods. Based on laser Raman fingerprint spectroscopy and network data verification technology, this instrument integrates enhancement reagents and pretreatment equipment to deliver fast food safety screening within minutes. Specifically designed for on-site law enforcement and rapid screening, it is user-friendly and simple to operate. Combined with enhancement reagents and pretreatment equipment, it enables rapid food safety testing within minutes.

Food safety is recognized as a global challenge, impacting national economies and public welfare. In recent years, recurring incidents involving melamine, Sudan Red dye, clenbuterol, and recycled cooking oil have severely hindered China's food industry development.

Conventional laboratory food safety testing methods—limited in scale, costly, and time-consuming—fail to meet on-site rapid testing demands. Developing fast, accurate detection technologies for illegal additives has thus become a critical research focus.

Raman spectroscopy, as a rapid, non-destructive, and safe detection technique, offers advantages such as fast and accurate results, good reproducibility, simple sample preparation, compact portability, and broad applicability. Combined with specialized surface Raman enhancement reagents and simple sample preparation equipment, it enables straightforward, precise, and efficient detection of illegal/abused additives, pesticide/veterinary drug residues, adulterants, toxic chemicals, and other contaminants in food.

Portable Raman spectrometers detect pesticide residues (thiabendazole, carbendazim, diquat, propiconazole, thiophanate-methyl, etc.), veterinary drug residues (malachite green and its metabolites, crystal violet, enrofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, oxolinic acid, furazolidone, etc.), additives (sodium thiocyanate, benzoic acid, sorbic acid, caffeine, etc.), melamine, sibutramine, sildenafil, and over 200 other residue and additive testing items. Custom testing items can be added based on client requirements.
