The steel tape water level gauge provides an accurate method for measuring water levels, typically used in wells, boreholes, and water level pipes. It is particularly suitable for groundwater level observation in hydropower projects or manual inspection of the seepage line in earth-rock dams. This instrument can be used during construction and also serves as a long-term safety monitoring tool for projects. It complies with the Technical Specifications for Safety Monitoring of Earth-Rock Dams.

The measurement and reading of water level changes consist of two main parts:
1. Submerged component: Consisting of the water level tube and base cover (sold separately).
2. Surface receiving instrument—steel tape water level gauge: Comprised of a probe, steel tape cable, receiving system, and reel.
① Probe: Constructed of stainless steel with internal water-resistance contact points. When the contact points touch the water surface, they activate the receiving system; when they leave the water surface, they deactivate it.
② Steel Tape Cable Section: The steel tape and conductor are integrated using plastic technology. This prevents corrosion of the steel tape, simplifies operation, and facilitates more convenient and accurate readings.
③ Receiving System Section: Consists of an audible alarm and indicator light. The audible alarm emits a continuous beeping sound, while the indicator light flashes rapidly.

• The new metal bracket is more robust, enhancing fatigue resistance in extreme cold and heat while preventing friction-induced overheating and melting.

• The probe features 200 fine threads to prevent detachment. Constructed from SUS stainless steel, the probe uses 316L metal to eliminate false alarms and resist corrosion from brine, seawater, and alkaline solutions.

• The steel tape's tensile strength is five times that of standard models.

• Rechargeable batteries eliminate the need for replacements, ensuring no outdoor adventures are cut short by power loss.

• The power-on self-test switch is made of SUS metal with a lifespan exceeding 50,000 presses, enabling one-touch startup for immediate use.

• The audible alert has been amplified to 100 decibels, and a strobe indicator light provides clearer, more distinct warnings for simplified operation.
