Principle: In acoustics, when relative motion occurs between a sound source and receiver (i.e., probe and reflector), the frequency of the echo changes. This frequency shift is known as the Doppler effect. Sound wave frequencies increase when moving toward the observer and decrease when moving away. The Doppler flow meter calculates flow velocity by measuring this frequency change.
