Doppler current meter

Principle of Doppler Flow Meter: When an ultrasonic source and an observer move relative to each other, the frequency received by the observer differs from the source's frequency. Therefore, small particles and bubbles moving with the water relative to the ultrasonic transducer also alter the frequency received by the transducer. This frequency shift increases with the velocity of suspended particles in the water. By measuring this Doppler frequency shift, the Doppler flowmeter determines the flow velocity at its measurement point.

Primarily used in irrigation open channels, municipal sewer pipes, hydrological basins, and similar applications. Particularly suitable for low-water-level scenarios, functioning effectively at water depths exceeding 15 cm. In regular pipes or channels, water depth is measured via the flow meter's pressure sensor, while flow velocity is detected by the ultrasonic sensor, enabling convenient calculation of flow rate.

The product measures flow velocity based on the ultrasonic Doppler effect, while also measuring water level via a pressure sensor and water temperature via a temperature sensor. The PVC plastic housing provides effective waterproof sealing. The housing measures 25 cm in length, 3 cm in height, and 7 cm in width. It can measure flow velocity in open channels and larger pipes.
