The Portable Negative Ion Formaldehyde PM2.5 Detector is a high-precision, professional-grade instrument for analyzing airborne negative ions, formaldehyde, PM2.5, and PM10. It employs an advanced cylindrical capacitive structure negative (oxygen) ion capture mechanism to trap negative (oxygen) ions from the atmosphere, then performs precise statistical calculations via proprietary algorithms. The formaldehyde and PM2.5 detector employs the “capacitive inhalation method” principle for negative ion detection, measuring the concentration of negative ions in the air. A fixed polarization voltage is applied to the polarization plate (or bias plate) of the ion sensor (also known as the collection bucket or collection cylinder). The air sample is then passed uniformly through the sensor at a preset velocity. Under the influence of the electric field, specific small-particle-sized negative ions in the air deflect and are captured by the collection plate. The collected negative charge from the ions is processed by the collector, enabling the calculation of the negative ion charge concentration value.
