The cable fault locator is primarily used for locating breaks, short circuits, and ground leakage faults (with ground insulation resistance within 0.5 megohms) in high and low voltage underground power cables rated up to 10kV (expandable to 50kV). It also detects the depth and route of buried cables.
Suitable for applications including streetlight cable maintenance, agricultural irrigation cable fault detection and repair, residential property management and landscaping underground armored steel-sheathed power cables, outdoor power cables, highways, industrial plants and mines, and direct-buried power cables for communication base stations on towers.

Three-Channel Design
1. Length Testing: Directly measures the distance of cable breaks or short circuits in de-energized conditions.
2. Anti-interference Channel: Incorporates high-performance filtering circuits to resist power frequency interference. When power is off, it works with a signal generator to locate ground leakage points in direct-buried cables, determine cable routing, and measure burial depth.
3. Full-Frequency Channel: When power is on, uses a probe rod to test for minor ground leakage faults in direct-buried low-voltage cables. This instrument is an effective tool for shortening fault detection time, improving work efficiency, and reducing the labor intensity of line maintenance personnel.
