Product Introduction

The Automatic Rainfall Monitoring Station is a modern IoT-based rainfall station comprising a rainfall sensor (rain gauge), data transmission device, battery, solar panel, and mounting bracket.

The device transmits rainfall data wirelessly to a monitoring platform. Users can log into the IoT platform to view real-time and historical data, remotely configure parameters such as reporting intervals, data reception volume, transmission location, and data clearing status. Rainfall data includes precipitation status, rainfall amount per data collection interval, current rainfall amount, daily rainfall, weekly rainfall, monthly rainfall, and annual rainfall. Data transmitted to the platform can be directly exported to desktop Excel spreadsheets for further analysis and processing.

  • No software installation required. This modern monitoring platform receives rainfall data during precipitation and enters sleep mode when no rain is detected—simple and practical.

  • Beyond reporting rainfall data at the start and end of precipitation events, it also automatically transmits rainfall data during each rainfall event at preset intervals.

  • Automatically aggregates rainfall data, calculating cumulative precipitation every N minutes. After each N-minute interval, it resets the counter and accumulates data including current rainfall, daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly totals. Multiple data points can be directly copied to Excel spreadsheets (where N represents the time interval).

  • During data upload, if transmission fails, the device automatically caches data locally. Once network connectivity is restored, all cached data is sent in one batch to the designated email address.

  • SMS configuration functionality allows users to log into the IoT platform (web interface) and send parameter-setting SMS messages to the device, enabling remote control of the rainfall monitoring station for convenient operation.

  • The sensor housing is made of ABS material, offering strong environmental resistance, minimal susceptibility to acids and alkalis, rustproof properties, excellent appearance quality, high surface finish, and reduced measurement errors caused by water retention.
