Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) is an indicator of the concentration of reducible substances in water, with organic matter being the primary component of these reducible substances. Therefore, COD is often used as an indicator of the concentration of organic matter in water. The higher the COD value, the more severe the organic pollution in the water body. Ammonia nitrogen concentration [compound nitrogen existing in the form of free ammonia (NH3) and ammonium ions (NH4+)]. The device can automatically compensate for temperature and manually adjust pH, making it suitable for high-precision measurements in various environments. It can be directly installed, making it more economical, environmentally friendly, convenient, and efficient compared to traditional ammonia nitrogen analyzers.
COD measurement employs a dual-wavelength ultraviolet absorption method combined with modulated light signals to reduce visible light interference. The measurement process does not require chemical reagents, and an internal self-cleaning system effectively prevents biological fouling. The ammonia nitrogen electrode uses an advanced selective ion-responsive membrane. When the membrane is influenced by the measured solution, it generates an electromotive force (voltage), with the magnitude of the electromotive force reflecting the concentration of ions in the solution.
The handheld online COD ammonia-nitrogen detector is widely applied in emergency monitoring, industrial wastewater, domestic sewage, wastewater treatment, pharmaceuticals and chemicals, food, beverages, textile dyeing, electroplating, papermaking, petroleum and metallurgy, river management, research institutions, and educational institutions.
