The Rice Freshness Tester complies with the grain industry standard LS/T 6118—2017 “Grain and Oil Inspection: Determination and Evaluation of Rice Freshness.” It is a specialized instrument for assessing the freshness level of rice grains.
Its operating principle is based on the quantity of aldehyde and ketone compounds generated during the aging process of rice samples. The rice to be tested is milled into rice grains. The rice sample is then mixed with a specialized reagent—the freshness indicator—and subjected to shaking and centrifugation. By detecting the color change in the mixed solution after the sample reacts with the freshness indicator, the instrument displays the freshness value of the sample, thereby determining the freshness level of the rice sample. This instrument is primarily used in grain warehouses, rice processing enterprises, and grain quality inspection centers for evaluating the freshness of rice grains.
